200 years from now due to severe climate changes, many floods and earthquakes occurred and most of human civilization perished. The few hundreds of people who survived decided to form a new society structure, which was very different from our existing society.
Or
50 years from now humans discovered a new planet with earth-like living conditions and the planet was inhabited by a very interesting human-like civilization but with a very different set of society and an interesting and happy way of life !
The new society does not have many problems that plague our existing society. Some major differences in the new society are the following:
As soon as a child is born the child is allocated to a Circle - a circle of friends (say a group of 10 or 20 friends). There is no concept of mother and father. Only a group of friends who will grow together, learn together, play together and help each other. The woman who gives birth to a child also does not know the identity or the Circle Number or Name of the child.
In the current era many married couples are unhappy and divorce rates are very high. There is no concept of marriage in this new society. Adults choose to stay with each other as long as they want to, which could be for a few days to a few years or for their entire life-time. Every adult woman is expected to have one child at some stage to ensure population growth of the society. However, when she gets pregnant to have a child, she can do so without having to name the father of the child, as there is no concept of mother and father in the society. When she gets pregnant, her “Circle of Friends” are super happy, dance, enjoy and take good care of her. In the current world we live in, most marriages are unhappy so why have the “marriage” label at all? Which other animal species has this concept of “marriage”. Marriage is needed for the sake of safety and well-being of children one may argue but a senior “Circle” of society taking care of a young “Circle” of society might give more stability and safety to all children of the young “Circle”.
Once an old person belonging to a senior “Circle” dies, there is no child to inherit the wealth. Maybe his or her entire wealth is transferred to the Government corpus of the new world.
Students study subjects in which they are most interested in. However, the most financially rewarding and respectful jobs/careers are in the following fields:
Teaching in schools and colleges
Government Administration
Health Care workers
Farmers
Police Personnel and Criminal Investigators
Scientists
Senior Care Providers
Circle of friends is the lifeline of the new society. The members of the circle love each other unconditionally. If anyone makes a mistake, they forgive easily. They are always there for each other.
There is healthy competition between different circles at schools and colleges. However, there is a lot of mutual respect amongst all.
The story focuses on one such Circle of Friends of “Planet Dosti”.
Few main characters of this story are:Abhay - The fearless and charismatic man who wants to become a super cop and maintain the law and order in society.
Amrita - She is extremely caring and loving and wants to be a teacher for school children. She is a genius and loves the company of children and can get the best out of them.
Karishma - Karishma is very compassionate and is focused on becoming a top surgeon.
Naman - Naman loves nature and wants to become a farmer and ensure healthy food for people.
